5QA Fabian Pfenninger / model

Here is another round of our DiasOfDiaz 5QA – five questions answered aka our coffee-break interview. This time we have peppered a male model with questions: just before watching him enter the runway again for Mode Suisse, meet the striking Fabian Pfenninger, one of those red heads that you cannot escape from at the moment:

DiasOfDiaz: Name 5 things you would never travel without.

Fabian: I usually have always a couple of things with me: my mobile phone, contact lens care products, a credit card, my identity card, house keys, … BUT I can’t say I’d never travel without them. Sometimes there is a reason and you don’t have time to pack this stuff…

DiasOfDiaz: What was the most important lesson that you learned in your first years as an international model?

Fabian: To be patient. Some working processes take a long time…

DiasOfDiaz: What was the strangest or craziest thing you ever witnessed during a photo shoot or show?

Fabian: Definitely fake blood… And dogs on the runway.

DiasOfDiaz: The top 5 of your current playlist (laptop – iPod – whatever)?

Fabian: madness – Muse, blow me – P!nk, we are young – Fun, starship – Nicki Minaj and girl on fire – Alicia Keys.

DiasOfDiaz: Imagine you could be a superhero… Who would you be and would you change his costume?

Fabian: Oh, I thought I am already Mr. Supermodel?!? wink ;-)

When he was first “discovered” in 2007, Fabian was not so interested in modeling – he preferred to finish his education. But now he is one of Switzerland’s biggest (male) beauty exports: on the catwalk he has worked for Junya Watanabe – Comme des GarçonsJohn VarvatosRoberto CavalliYohji Yamamoto and Wolfgang Joop‘s Wunderkind. Find below a broad selection of the many runway appearances of Fabian Pfenninger (click on image to enlarge), as well as editorial and artistic shoots for Cyrill Matter Photography, VOGUE Sposa, the exclusive Versace for H&M preview in Friday Magazine and BG Magazine photographed by Christoph Koestlin (from top to bottom).
