Best of Fashion Week London Summer 2013 – Women’s Wear Part Two
Here is the second part of theDiasOfDiaz best of Summer 2013 women’s wear from the Fashion Week London - again in alphabetical order…
From 1998 until 2002 Giles Deacon was a designer at Bottega Veneta and the Gucci Group. In February 2004, Giles presented his first collection at Fashion Week London and did so in 2012 just as well. A reliable designer for new input – no matter how long he has been in this business… Now, let’s go WILD!
And next is the knight himself: Sir Julien MacDonald. We are in love with him and his designs since the last Zurich Fashion Days and we – again – proved right to do so. What a collection! My absolute favourite this season! No more words needed – I’d rather throw an extra round of photos…
Since his collaboration with H&M, Matthew Williamson finally also rings a bell to the younger generation. Go get some nuts and get some colour! Thank you, for cheering us up anytime, Mr Williamson. Thank you so much.
Mulberry’s Creative Director Emma Hill says “I was born in London but made in New York!” So where is she taking the brand? “Mulberry is really starting to find a home in locations worldwide – we have a number of exciting store openings including a new flagship store opening in Singapore and great locations in the U.S. We’re also expanding our ability to manufacture in the UK by opening a new factory in Somerset next year. This is in addition to the recently completed expansion of our current factory location. We’re well and truly gearing up for our next show at Fashion Week London – seeing in another season filled with exciting new product, colour and personality.”
Last but never least: the Grand Dame of British fashion, the woman who dared to meet the Queen without undies and one of the few females to tame a true rock star: Mrs Vivienne Westwood. Presenting the Vivienne Westwood Red Label, she once more conveyed her signature message: “The adaptation of historical garment construction into modern clothing.”
