Best of Miami Swim
Time to get wet! Here is my personal best of Miami Swim for Summer 2013… Again in alphabetical order, to be fair:
Get dressed! Agua di Lara gives you a couple of reasons to cover up. No more nipple-gates but sophisticated swim pieces that flatter the female figure. Some are definitely too beautiful to be worn only by the pool and I’m sure that we will see them on the streets, too, in the summer of 2013 – combined with a matching A-line skirt or pleated shorts. High quality fabrics from Europe, a high level of manufacturing skills and one of the most talented designers in intimates and swim wear make Agua di Lara more than a label to watch.
It began as a small Colombian luxury woman’s swimwear line in 2004 and now Caffé Swimwear is an international swimwear brand on the rise. This year Caffé Swimwear again proved that luxury does not have to hem you in enjoying your holidays. The designer Paula Saavedra is very passionate about enhancing the female beauty. Saavedra maily gets inspired by her South American roots and pairs them with the current trends in fashion to create that special look of Caffé Swimwear. The label’s laid back luxury has generated quite some famous fans from Hollywood by now – and DiasOfDiaz.
And while we are talking about wearing a swim suit on the streets: here’s another candidate for our street beach! Éclairée was only founded last year by Kelly Carrington, its designer and creative director. Her work reflects not only her personal style but her international travels, love of music, appreciation of art and, most obviously, Carrington’s interpretation of modern elegance. Éclairée‘s geographic and pure styles for Summer 2013 have left quite an impression on the audience and surely will continue to do so for future bathing seasons…
More skin was revealed at the show of L*Space by Monica Wise. Lauren Conrad, Cameron Diaz, Gwen Stefani and a whole bunch of surf enthusiasts and athletes are fans of L*Space and when you look at the collection you will know why… Emphasizing curves, reveling never too much but just enough and following no strict matching rules: that’s L*Space by Monica Wise.
And last but not least it’s Vitamin A by Amahlia Stevens. Equal parts chic and functional, Vitamin A is often referred to as the LBD of swimwear. These LBBs—little black bikinis—come in more than just black, though. It’s the Seventies with a little bit of a minimalist.Their fan list is long and includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Leighton Meester and Jessica Alba but that’s not what makes this swimwear so special. Every bikini is made in California and surely will accompany you for more than just one swim season. After all it’s healthy to take Vitamin A, isn’t it?
