Best of Fashion Week Berlin Summer 2013 – Men’s Wear

It’s been enough time now to let all the input from Berlin settle and re-check what really impressed me – apart from all the scenery, media and installation tools… Here it comes: my personal best of Fashion Week Berlin for Summer 2013. I’ll start with the men’s wear – in alphabetical order, to be fair:

Boss by Hugo Boss showed a maturely modern approach to the classic men’s wear. Sleek and sophisticated, colourful and creative but always very wearable and somehow timeless.

A younger modernity was presented by Kilian Kerner: material mixes, soft colours, bermudas (who dares..?) and classic cuts with surprising details. I love the idea of the models with the wet hair. “I just came out of the shower and threw this thing on.” So obviously: Kilian says relax.

The former Creative Director of Adidas has become one of the most important designers to check out during Berlin Fashion Week: it’s Michael Michalsky, of course. He is always good for surprises like Mario Galla showing his artificial leg in bermudas or like this year a quite pregnant female model to show off her naket belly… Oh, and there was good fashion, too, as you see below…

Last but not least, I’d like to name a newcomer in this personal best of: Sebastian Ellrich. Clear lines, slim cuts and classic colours – I can very well imagine his apparel to be well sellable in many international metropolises. Keeping an eye on him from now on…!
