Fashioning Highlights from ESMOD Berlin & Fashioning Fashion @ Deutsches Historisches Museum / Berlin
To start off the ultimate Berlin week, it’s the fresh blood that gives us a taste in new fashion: the ESMOD Berlin is opening the week of events with their Fashioning Highlights show. The event will include three parts:
The Dressing Room: The ESMOD Berlin second year designed fashion items shown in a virtual dressing room screened on German TV channel Arte. The users had the possibility to create their own outfits and vote for their favorite looks. The 15 winning looks are presented in the show and broadcasted on Arte.Tv/Creative.
Master Sustainability in Fashion: A sneak preview of various collection pieces by the 2012 Master students of the ESMOD Berlin.
Professionals: collections by ESMOD Berlin alumni including Janine Grosche for the emerging menswear label PATH and the puristic works of David Ubl – both currently based in Beijing with their own brands. Straight from Berlin alumni Julia Knuepfer will also be showing the current collection from her playful yet mature label ICA WATERMELON.
The exhibition Fashoning Fashion is open tomorrow from 7pm at Deutsches Historisches Museum, Unter den Linden 2, Berlin. The fashion show of ESMOD Berlin the starts at 9pm at Schlüterhof entrance, Pei Building , Hinter dem Gießhaus 3 . Check esmod.de for more information and send an email to fashionweek@esmod.de if you are interested in receiving an invitation.
If you can’t make it to the fashion show: check the exhibition Fashioning Fashion. It’s still open until 29 July 2012 – always at Deutsches Historisches Museum, Unter den Linden 2, Berlin.
And then it’s time for Fashion Week Berlin and Bread & Butter Berlin!
