At the very top of Switzerland’s highest building (yes, seriously the highest) you will find one of the nicest locations in Zurich: the Clouds. The top floor was separated to give room for a lounge area, a restaurant and a bistro / bar. The best view towards the Alps can be enjoyed from the restaurant but since the waiting list for table reservations is about six weeks long at the moment…

I was lucky and got an invitation to the restaurant and could enjoy the marvelous view, food and service. Usually there is neither good food nor good service in spectacular locations with a certain touristic value but the Clouds is an exception. As if the excellent meat dished weren’t enough, their little dessert wagon definitely stole my heart! I will definitely try to have my head up in the Clouds more often now.

Find the Clouds inside the Prime Tower at Maagplatz 5, Zurich. A reservation for the restaurant is essential.
