Le Basilic / Paris
Paris is a really expensive city. Especially if you would like to have some decent food for dinner. Reasonable prices are very rarely combined with fine food in the city of lights. I have wined and dined in so many restaurants, brasseries and cafes in Paris that I can hardly remember all of them. But there is one that really surprised me: in the Montmartre quarter I spontaneously went to Le Basilic. It is a rather small place that looks either old-fashioned or touristy from the outside. I wasn’t sure what I thought until… After dinner! Delicious meals for a fair price and good service? My steak was just perfect and even my male company did not have to go home hungry. Who’d have thought…?
So after all the searching and tryouts I can now warmly recommend Le Basilic in 33 Rue Lepic, right at the corner of Rue Joseph de Maistre in Montmartre. Try to reserve a table or come early.
