Restaurant Viadukt / Zurich
You might already know the Viadukt in Zurich for some very cool shops like Komplementair, Famous Ape or Stilrad. But there is more: its restaurant is a notable address for (for Zurich) inexpensive breakfast or lunch and even live concerts. Still this is not the main feature of this location from my point of view: Actually it is the fact that the staff is not usual catering staff. They have been placed there from the Stiftung Netzwerk fuer soziale Arbeit, Sport und Kultur. That means more or less something like foundation for social work, sports and culture. The foundations supports socially underpriviledged or deprived people in Zurich and the rest of Switzerland through selected jobs and housing. Those (mostly very young) people are doing a great job there and deserve a lot of respect. And they can cook, too…
