Madame Grès at Musée Bourdelle / Paris
Are you done with Yohji Yamamoto at the V&A in London? Have you liked it? And you’ve seen “Unravel – knitwear in fashion” at Momu Fashion Museum in Antwerp as well? Then there is still more to see…
Guess what I just found in the German Vogue: There’s an exhibition about Madame Grès and her work in Paris. Unfortunately all information on the internet seems to be french and most english sites don’t have any information at all. Use Google translator in case needed for parismusees.com or paris.fr.
But anyways, where else could you find such a great collection of draping work… It must always be Paris! In this case it is Musée Bourdelle. Find it in 16, rue Antoine-Bourdelle. The exhibition end on 24 July 2011 so this is another perfect reason for a long summer weekend in the city of fashion, fame and… well, love, I suppose…
